Hungry For Ghosts is a must read for those that grapple with the subconscious desire to hide in the wreckage of the human psyche while embracing the freedom of spirit only found in the apparition of soul.
Educator and author
Kristin Kory’s poetry book, Hungry for Ghosts, had me at hello. First, I love the title and cover, which was enough to pique the interest of my dark poetic heart. Then I read the author’s note and knew I’d found a kindred soul. Mind you, at this point, I hadn’t read the rest of the book yet. Still, her words grabbed my heart and refused to release me.
As an artist and fellow poet, I understand that the connection made with an audience occurs when they feel seen or heard.
Hungry for Ghosts is an expression of hope, stubbornly held onto, and an exploration of love for things lost, that will never completely leave. It is worth your time.
When the night played its tune and ghosts of the forsaken suffered its consequence, that is how Kristin’s brilliance was born.
